By profession and experience, Jim and Bob Whelan are engineers, design architects and wood craftsmen. Under Whelan Brothers Construction, they traveled throughout the US and Canada in one of their Over-the-Road rigs, building high-end commercial real estate. These experiences provided great appreciation for the life on the road. It was during these lengthy travels that the Whelans transformed their stock trucks into rolling showcases. Whelan Brothers Custom Shifters and Truck Interiors was born.

Applying their engineering and wood craftsmenship, they created and patented the solid wood replacement shifter knob designed to fit "all" Eaton Fuller transmissions.
